INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
JKAMLS is a peer reviewed (External and/or internal) scientific journal published biannually. It brings the latest knowledge in the field of medico legal specialty to its readers. It invites contributions in English on all aspects of Forensic medicine. Papers will be accepted on the basis of scientific originality and general interest. |
The editor preserves the right to revise, modify or reject any article to conform to the standards of the journal. The article submitted to the journal should not have been published earlier or under consideration for publication elsewhere. Adhering to publication ethics is the responsibility of the authors. Views expressed in the articles published will remain the opinion of the concerned authors and the editor accepts no responsibility for them |
• Authors must certify regarding the full originality of their work. The use of other people’s works must be adequately cited as per publication guidelines. |
• Authors must certify that the manuscript has not previously been published elsewhere or it is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere. |
• Authors should not submit manuscripts that reproduce papers already published, in part or in whole, in any other journals or publication media. |
• Authors can use compilations of their own work, their own articles or part of them while preparing manuscripts. |
• All Authors mentioned in the manuscript must have significantly contributed to the research. |
• Authors must state that all data in the paper are real and authentic. |
• Authors must notify the Editors of any conflicts of interest. |
• Authors must identify all sources used in the creation of their manuscript. |
The format for sending the scientific articles is as follows: |

Make titles brief and specific. List all authors’ names with designations affiliation and addresses. Complete address with contact number and email address of corresponding author should be mentioned |
Should not exceed more than 200 words. Key words should be restricted to 5 or less. |
Should be divided into various sections like Introduction, Material and Methods, Observations, Results, Discussion, Conclusion etc. All pages should be numbered consecutively. |
Should be typed on separate sheets and appropriately numbered with brief legends. They should be self-explanatory, and the data they contain must not be duplicated in the text or figures. |
Only photographs and professionally executed line drawings, with brief legends in attached on separate sheets, will be accepted. Photographs and the line diagrams must be saved in JPEG or TIFF format. |
References must be double-spaced (numbered consecutively in the order in which they are mentioned in the text) in the Vancouver style. Only papers published or in press should be included in the reference list. The journal title should be abbreviated according to the style of index Medicus. Accuracy of reference is the responsibility of the authors. |

Submitting a Manuscript
Article should be typed in windows Microsoft word format. Manuscripts should be submitted online through the article submission portal in the website or by email to the editor. It should be accompanied by a covering letter, declaration from all the authors that it is an original work and has not been sent to any other journal for consideration or publication. Corresponding author will receive one print copy of the journal. Electronic version can be made available to the corresponding author on request. |
